The Siuslaw Vikings boys basketball team dropped from a first-place tie in the Far West League on Tuesday, losing to the Marshfield Pirates, 50-42, in Coos Bay.

(Note: The OSAA has the final as 50-39.)

Siuslaw fell to 1-1 in league and 6-9 overall.

Marshfield improved to 2-0 in league and leveled its overall record at 8-8.

Vikings junior center Trent Reavis had a game-high 13 points, according to The Coos Bay World. Scott Clough and Nick Minton led Marshfield with 12 each.

The Vikings next host Brookings-Harbor at 3 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Butler Court.

In other league play Tuesday, North Bend defeated visiting South Umpqua, 53-39, while Douglas topped visiting Brookings-Harbor, 54-51.
