Tuesday was the night the rich got richer in Far West League girls basketball as the top three teams all won on the road.

Douglas beat Siuslaw, 61-35; North Bend held off Brookings-Harbor, 49-42, and Marshfield doubled up South Umpqua, 60-30.

Siuslaw fell to 1-3 in league and 6-11 overall. Douglas is 3-1 and 9-6. Douglas entered the game ranked No. 12 in Class 4A by the Oregon School Activities Association.

Marshfield is atop the league at 4-0, while Douglas shares second place with North Bend.

Friday, Siuslaw completes the first half of league play with a game at North Bend.

Tuesday, senior Destinie Tatum led the Vikings with 9 points, while senior Brittany Long added 7 and freshman Mia Collins 6.

Junior Marika White had a team-high 8 rebounds.

Siuslaw hit 27.7 percent of its field goals (13 of 47) and 50 percent of its free throws, 8 of 16.
