Freshman Shalyn Gray scored 28 points Friday to lead the South Umpqua Lancers to a 51-37 victory over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings in a Far West League girls basketball game at Tri City.

Siuslaw fell to  6-13 for the season and 1-5 in league. South Umpqua is 5-15 and 1-5.

Sophomore Alyssa Richards had team highs of 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Vikings.

Junior Marika White had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots and senior Claire Waggoner 8 points and 4 rebounds.

Senior Destinie Tatum, the Vikings' leading scorer, was held to 5 points before fouling out.

Siuslaw hosts Marshfield at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Vikings' next-to-last home game of the season.

In other league games Friday, Marshfield beat Brookings-Harbor, 46-29, and Douglas defeated North Bend, 60-36.
