The No. 6-ranked Marshfield Pirates kept their share of first place in Far West League girls basketball Tuesday with a 65-33 victory over the Siuslaw Vikings at Glenn Butler Court.

Marshfield is 6-1 in league, tied with Douglas with three games to play. The Pirates are 15-6 overall.

Siuslaw fell to 1-6 in league and 6-14 overall.

Senior Destinie Tatum had 11 points and sophomore Madison Reynolds a season-high 10 to lead the Vikings.

Tatum also had team highs of 7 rebound, 3 steals and 3 assists. Senior Marika White had 6 rebounds, while sophomore Alyssa Richards had a team-high 2 blocked shots.

Elsewhere, Douglas won at Brookings-Harbor, 67-50, and North Bend won at South Umpqua, 53-34.

Siuslaw plays its next two games on the road, Friday at Brookings-Harbor and next Tuesday at Douglas.

The Vikings complete their season on Friday, Feb. 17, hosting North Bend on senior recognition night.

Senior players include Tatum, Nikki Launius, Brittany Long, Claire Waggoner and Abby Watkins.
