Three pairs forged a rare tie for first place Thursday at the Florence Duplicate Bridge Club's weekly game at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

The teams of Doreen MacNeil and Marian Weiss, John Weatherwax and Roberta Parker and Georgia Farman and John Reisner each scored 30.

Lloyd Little and Kenneth Hampsten were a point back in fourth place with 29, while Pat Oliver and Piney Van Riper were fifth with 18.5.

Beverly Rozaire-Brown and Kim Klindtworth were sixth with 12.5.

The Florence club is Oregon Central Coast unit 572 of the American Contract Bridge League, which sanctions the weekly games.

Club play is 12:30 p.m. Thursdays at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 19th and Tamarack.
