The Brookings-Harbor Bruins kept alive their hopes for a postseason Friday by defeating the visiting Siuslaw Vikings, 68-25, in a Far West League girls basketball game at Brookings.

The Bruins are 11-10 for the season and 3-5 in league with two regular-season games to play. Brookings-Harbor entered the game ranked No. 22 by the Oregon School Activities Association, which includes 24 teams in the postseason.

The Vikings fell to 6-15 and 1-7, suffering their seventh loss in a row.

Sophomore Madison Reynolds led the Vikings with 6 points and 6 rebounds. Freshman Mia Collins also had 6 rebounds.

Siuslaw closes its season with a game at Douglas on Tuesday and senior recognition night against North Bend on Friday, Feb. 17, at Glenn Butler Court.

Vikings seniors include Nikki Launius, Destinie Tatum, Claire Waggoner and Abby Watkins.
