The Siuslaw Vikings girls basketball team has one last date on its calendar — senior recognition night Friday against visiting North Bend at Glenn Butler Court.

Seniors to be honored include Nikki Launius, Destinie Tatum, Claire Waggoner and Abby Watkins.

Tuesday, the Lady Vikings finished off their Far West League road schedule with a 67-27 loss against Douglas at Winston.

Siuslaw fell to 1-8 in league and 6-16 overall. No. 12-ranked Douglas, 14-6 overall, is 8-1 in league, tied for first place with Marshfield. Douglas plays at Marshfield on Friday.

Tatum scored a team-high 14 points against Douglas, while junior Marika White had team highs of 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots to lead the Vikings.

Siuslaw hit 9 of 50 shots from the field — 18 percent — while sinking 9 of 21 free throws.
