The North Bend Bulldogs girls basketball team played spoiler on senior recognition night for the Siuslaw Vikings, rolling to a 62-38 victory Friday at Glenn Butler Court.

Siuslaw finished its season 1-9 in the Far West League and 6-17 overall.

North Bend finished a third-place 6-4 in league and 14-9 overall heading into the Oregon School Activities Association Class 4A tournament.

North Bend will be on the road for a play-in game next Friday, Feb. 24, against a school to be determined.

In a showdown for the league title, Marshfield beat Douglas, 44-38.

Marshfield, 9-1 in league, will have a bye next week while Douglas, 8-2, will host a play-in game.

Senior Destinie Tatum had a team-high 13 points and 3 steals for the Vikings. Senior Abby Watkins added 7 points.

Sophomore Madison Reynolds had 6 points and a team-high 6 rebounds.

Tatum, Watkins and fellow seniors Nikki Launius and Claire Waggoner were saluted prior to tip off.

Tatum and Watkins will be out for track and field on Monday, Feb. 27, while Launius and Waggoner are expected to play for the Vikings' softball team.

The first track meet is the Siuslaw Icebreaker, Thursday, March 23, at Hans Petersen Field.

The first softball game is Monday, March 13, a nonleague game at 4 p.m. at Newport.
