Siuslaw senior Destinie Tatum led the Lady Vikings basketball team in scoring and rebounding during the recently completed 23-game 2016-17 season.

Tatum had 174 rebounds, an average of 7.5 a game, and 261 points, an average of 11.3 a game.

Sophomore Alyssa Richards was second in rebounds with 98 and senior Brittany Long was second in scoring with 154 points, an average of 8.6.

Long, who did not play the final five games of the season, led the Vikings in steals with 65 and assists with 35 and tied senior Nikki Launius for team honors in 3-pointers with 6.

Richards and senior Marika White tied for the lead in blocked shots with 21 each.

Siuslaw completed its season Friday, finishing 1-9 in the Far West League and 6-17 overall.

The Vikings will lose Launius, Long, Tatum, Claire Waggoner and Abby Watkins to graduation.
