The Siuslaw Vikings will finally get a home baseball game Saturday, weather permitting.

Friday, the Vikings fell to 0-9 on the season as they dropped a pair of Far West League games to Marshfield in Coos Bay, 9-5 and 5-2.

Saturday, the Vikings will host the Pirates in a single game at 1 p.m. at Dodson Field.

If the thrice-postponed home opener is scrubbed again, it will be played at 5 p.m. Monday in Florence.

The Pirates, 3-4-1 overall, sit atop the league at 2-0. Douglas is 2-1 and 5-7, North Bend 1-0 and 2-6. Brookings-Harbor 1-2 and 4-7 and South Umpqua 0-1 and 1-9.

In the only other league action Friday, Douglas swept visiting Brookings-Harbor, 2-1 and 10-8.
