Sophomore Tayah Kelley was 6-for-10 with 7 RBIs and 2 home runs and was the winning pitcher in both games Friday as the visiting South Umpqua Lancers swept the Siuslaw Vikings in a Far West League softball doubleheader, 19-5 and 19-0.

Siuslaw fell to 1-8 in league and 4-14 overall. South Umpqua is 7-2 and 15-2.

For the Vikings, junior Ariel Rosinbaum was 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and senior Sara Keel drove in 2 runs in the opener, while senior Heidi Jones was 2-for-3 with a stolen base in the second game.

Sophomore Kalie Mann was 5-for-10 with 5 RBIs and 2 home runs for the Lancers.

Kelly struck out 17 over 11 innings for the two wins. Jones took the two losses for the Vikings, striking out 10.

Siuslaw next plays at Brookings-Harbor at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The Vikings host Brookings-Harbor in a doubleheader at 3 p.m. next Friday.

The Vikings close their season with a home game at 5 p.m. Monday, May 8, against North Bend, and a doubleheader at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at North Bend.
