Senior Cody Gray smashed a pair of 2-run home runs in the opener and tossed a shutout in the second game Friday to lead the South Umpqua Lancers to a sweep of the Siuslaw Vikings in a Far West League baseball doubleheader at Riddle, 13-3 and 13-0.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 1-7 in league and 1-14 overall. South Umpqua is 5-3 and 6-11.

Siuslaw hosts South Umpqua in a makeup game at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Jiggs Dodson Field.

Senior Kelby White was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored in the opener for Siuslaw, while junior Jared Brandt and senior Brogan Cornish each drove in a run.

After Monday, the Vikings have 3-game series with Brookings-Harbor and North Bend to finish out the season.
