In a long, tough season for the Siuslaw Vikings baseball team, it may be fitting that they finish it with their toughest assignment, Far West League-leading North Bend.

The Vikings play at North Bend at 5 p.m. Monday, then close their season with a doubleheader at 3 p.m. Thursday at Jiggs Dodson Field on senior recognition night.

Friday, the Brookings-Harbor Bruins swept a doubleheader from the Vikings in Brookings, 10-0 in six innings and 9-6.

The losses dropped Siuslaw to 1-11 in league and 1-18 overall.

Brookings-Harbor, 8-10 overall and winner of six in a row, forged a three-way tie for second place with Douglas and South Umpqua at 7-5.

North Bend, 10-2 in league and 11-8 overall, needs one win over the Vikings to clinch the outright league title.
