Sophomore Mane Freeman tossed a complete game, striking out 13, to pitch the North Bend Bulldogs to the Far West League baseball title with a 12-3 victory Monday over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings.

North Bend is 12--8 overall and 11-2 in league, holding a 3-game lead with 2 games to play, a doubleheader Thursday at Jiggs Dodson Field in Florence.

Siuslaw fell to 1-19 and 1-12.

The Bulldogs added baseball to league football and boys basketball championships this school year.

North Bend rapped 14 hits, including 13 singles, with Jake Simmons 4-for-4 with 4 runs scored. Danie Langie was 2-for-5 with 2 RBIs and Neal Rose 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored.

Thursday is senior recognition. Vikings seniors include Brogan Cornish, Drew Rannow, Marcos Reyna-Ayala, Kyle Rose, Hunter Simington, Nick Steinman and Kelby White.
