The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club will elect new officers for next school year at Monday's monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the high school library.

The club normally normally meets the last Monday of the month, but is holding it a week early due to the Memorial Day holiday.

"We will review old business items and review summer auction plans," acting president Gina Castro-Brandt said.

The club encourages a strong turnout of current and prospective members.

"Please come and share your knowledge and energy," Castro-Brandt said. "It is for the children."

Some of the upcoming dates to remember:

• May 31 — Coast Radio's Athlete of the Year Reception, 6:30 p.m., high school mall. Open to the public. Dessert and refreshments will be served. Free.
• Aug. 18 — Siuslaw Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner, 5:30 p.m., Three Rivers Casino. Tickets $20.
• Aug. 19 — Booster Barn Bash II, annual auction-dinner that serves as SABC's big fundraiser, 4 p.m., King Family Farm.
