Individual tickets to the Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club's annual auction are now available at Coastal Fitness and Shippin Shack.

"When we sell out, we sell out!" auction chair Jennifer Waggoner said.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 19, at the King family farm, from 4 p.m. "until the cows come home."

Last year's event, at the same venue, raised nearly $50,000 for the booster club, which supports middle school and high school athletics.

For instance, the club just approved the funding for a new shot put sector at Hans Petersen Field.

Tickets are $40, and include dinner, open beer/wine bar, a silent/live auction and live music.

"So much fun!" Waggoner said.

There also are a limited number of tables on sale for the auction.

The club also is sponsoring the Siuslaw Athletic Hall of Fame induction-dinner Friday, Aug. 18, at Three Rivers Casino.

The first monthly meeting for the next school year is 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at the high school library.
