The first Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club monthly meeting of the 2017-18 school year will be 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at the high school library.

The club offers financial support for middle school and high school athletics.

Thanks to another successful auction-dinner, the club should be in good position to carry out its mission.

Last year's Booster Barn Bash raised nearly $50,000. This year's auction-dinner, held this past Saturday, is expected to match if not exceed that.

Jennifer King Waggoner will be stepping down as auction chair after two highly successful events, leaving a daunting position to fill on the club.

Also open is the position of president.

Elected officers for the upcoming school year include vice president Steve Moser, secretary Diane Conlee, treasurer Vicki Soran, membership chair Anna Moser and Pam Hickson, public relations.

Members at large include Jeromy Graybill, Chris Johnson and Karen Perry.
