Saturday was a big day indeed for sisters Emma and Mia Collins at the Sisters Invitational girls volleyball tournament.

Emma, a senior outside hitter, had 9 kills and Mia, a sophomore middle blocker, had 7 to lead the Siuslaw Vikings to victories over Newport and Seaside, each by 2-0 scores.

The wins lifted the Vikings to 6-5 overall.

Siuslaw resumes Far West League play Tuesday, hosting South Umpqua at 6:30 p.m. at Glenn Butler Court. The Vikings are 2-2 in league, while the Lancers share first place with Marshfield and North Bend at 3-1.

Saturday, the Collins sisters combined for 10 kills to put away Newport, 25-16, 25-16. Mia Collins had 3 service aces to go with 6 kills.

Junior outside hitter Alyssa Richards had 4 kills and 4 aces and senior libero Maci Wells had 11 digs as the Vikings swept Seaside, 25-19, 25-17.
