The Siuslaw Vikings girls volleyball team tuned up for a likely state play-in game with a couple of wins Saturday at the Marshfield Invitational in Coos Bay.

The Vikings beat Junction City and Phoenix by 2-0 scores before falling to North Bend in the consolation finals.

Siuslaw currently is ranked No. 22 in Class 4A by the Oregon School Activities Association. The top 24 teams advance.

Rankings freeze Tuesday night following the final league matches.

The seven league champions or top seeds receive a bye along with the highest remaining seed.

Marshfield and South Umpqua, co-champions of the Far West League, play Tuesday at Coquille for the No. 1 seed from the league.

Tuesday's loser will be one of eight hosts of play-in games next weekend. Each league is guaranteed a home play-in game.

North Bend, ranked No. 17, has clinched a play-in game, while Siuslaw must stay in the top 24 when the final rankings are released Tuesday night.
