Junior guard Tayler Forsman had 16 points and 7 rebounds Wednesday to lead the Creswell Bulldogs to a 52-41 victory over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings in nonleague boys basketball.

Seniors Jake Hickson and Kyle King led the Vikings with 9 points each.

Siuslaw (0-1) plays at Elmira (0-1) on Friday night. Tip off is 7 p.m. The Falcons lost their season opener Wednesday at Newport, 70-55.

The home opener for the Vikings is 7 p.m. Tuesday against Newport.

In other games involving Far West League teams Wednesday, Douglas won at Myrtle Point, 67-34, and South Umqua lost at Sutherlin, 58-21.
