Marshfield's Cory Stover, a 6-foot-7 senior, scored a game-high 15 points Friday to lead the No. 3-ranked Pirates to a 68-31 victory over the Siuslaw Vikings in a Sky-Em League boys basketball game at the Pirate Palace in Coos Bay.

Freshman Mason Ainsworth chipped in with 10 for the Pirates, 13-3 overall and 3-0 in league.

Sophomores Jacob Foskett and Liam McClellan led the Vikings with 9 and 7 points, respectively.

Marshfield shot ahead 22-8 after the first quarter, went up 39-15 at halftime and led 49-22 through three quarters.

Siuslaw,  5-12 overall and 0-3 in league, will play at Elmira on Tuesday.

The Vikings wrap up the first half of league play this coming Friday, hosting Junction City at Glenn Butler Court.

In other games Friday, Marist won 65-63 at Junction City and Cottage Grove defeated visiting Elmira, 53-40.
