Siuslaw junior Matthew Horrillo pinned Elmira senior Mikey Montgomery in 4 minutes, 23 seconds Saturday to win the 220-pound division of the Nick Lutz Memorial Invitational wrestling tournament at Siuslaw High School.

Horrillo, the fourth seed, defeated top seed Benjamin Lutz of Sheldon in the semifinals, 6-5. Montgomery was seeded No. 2.

Vikings senior Riley Jennings was second at 170 pounds, losing to Drew Swenson of Cottage Grove in sudden victory -1, 6-4.

Brady Libby (120), Elijah LaCosse (132) and Hector Garcia (160) each placed third for the Vikings.

Siuslaw was fourth in the 17-school event with 107 points. Sutherlin was first with 154.5, Sheldon second with 133 and Springfield third with 121.5.

In girls varsity, Siuslaw's Adriana Edwards had two pins and placed third at 130, while Kinga Bugajska was second place at 145 and Bailey Overton third at 115.

In boys junior varsity, Zekiah Hunt was first place at 148-152 for the Vikings, with John Corser second at 144-152 and Michael Shick fourth at 121-132.

Siuslaw is at Philomath for a dual meet Tuesday and at the Cottage Grove Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
