Siuslaw junior wrestler Matthew Horrillo went 3-0 Saturday to place third in the 220-pound class at the Cottage Grove Invitational.

Horrillo avenged his only loss of the tournament when he won by decision over Noah Knight of Douglas, 6-1. Knight won the first match 7-2, but Horrillo rallied for six wins in a row for the third-place trophy.

The Vikings' Brady Libby placed fourth at 120, Ryan Jennings fourth at 152 and Riley Jennings fifth at 170.

In the second-chance matches, Siuslaw sophomore Elijah LaCosse was 2-0 with two pins to place first at 131-132. Zekiah Hunt was second at 147-148, Antwan Ho second at 150-153 and JC Gentry second at 185-191.

With only the championship matches remaining, Siuslaw was 14th of 27 schools with 84 points, 2 points behind Churchill and 8 behind Henley. Glide led with 201, followed by Douglas with 188 and Phoenix with 185.

Siuslaw hosts the Siuslaw Senior Night Duals this coming Thursday, then competes in the OWC Duals Feb. 2 at Philomath.

Regional championships are Feb. 8-9 at Junction City.
