The No. 10-ranked Junction City Tigers nailed down third place in Sky-Em League girls basketball and a likely state playoff berth Thursday with an 44-32 victory over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings.

The Lady Vikings finished their season 5-19 overall and 1-9 in league.

Junction City finished the regular season 15-9 and 6-4.

Elsewhere, Tess Garrett scored 22 points as top-ranked Marshfield (23-1) capped a 10-0 run through the Sky-Em League with a 61-39 victory at Elmira.

Marist won at Cottage Grove, 44-33.

Marshfield and Marist will qualify for state as the league's top two teams. Junction City and Cottage Grove likely will qualify as play-in teams based on final rankings.

Rankings will freeze at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.
