The Siuslaw High School athletic program has received its third sportsmanship award nomination of the school year by the Oregon School Activities Association.

Vikings wrestling has joined Siuslaw volleyball and wrestling in earning special recognition from the OSAA.

Wrote Kelly Foster, OSAA associate director:

"I am writing to congratulate your school on winning the OSAA Sportsmanship Award for Wrestling!  This is a recognition program that gives athletic officials the opportunity to highlight the positive sportsmanship that they see on the mat.  With this award, your school will be given a banner to display at your school and awarded 100 OSAA Cup points.

"This is an award that should be recognized and congratulated.  Please share this with your community and school board members.

"Congratulations again and good luck for the remainder of the year!"
