Florence gymnasts post top marks at state

Florence gymnasts Jenna Young, Jane Wilks and Kylee Stinger posted top marks at the recent Xcel State Championships in Beaverton.

Young won three of four individual events to place second in the girls 13-older Xcel Gold all-around with a score of 37.150.

She was first iin the vault (9.350), beam (9.500) and floor (9.625) and sixth in bars (8.675).

Wilks was third in the girls 12-under Xcel Gold all-around (36.875), first in both floor (9.550) and bars (9.350), sixth in beam (9.025) and seventh in vault (8.900).

Stinger was sixth in the girls 12-under Xcel Silver all-around (37.050), fourth in floor (9.475), seventh in beam (9.200), 10th in bars (9.225), with a 9.150 in vault.

The three young ladies were representing the US Gymnastics Academy of Eugene.

The state meet was hosted by Westside Academy.
