Siuslaw High School has filled three coaching positions, athletic director Chris Johnson announced Thursday.

Nick Johnson and Sam Johnson have been hired as the JV and JV2 boys basketball coaches, respectively.

Sam Johnson is head football coach and a mathematics coach at the high school, while Nick Johnson is an assistant football coach for the Vikings varsity and a social studies teacher at the middle school.

Stecher Buss has been hired as an assistant wrestling coach.

Still to be announced is the head coach for girls basketball, which will have its fourth coach in as many school years.

The application deadline for the girls basketball coach was this past Friday.

Other coaching vacancies include assistant baseball coach and track and field assistant coach for the high school, as well as boys basketball coach for the middle school.

Application deadline for the middle school job is this Friday, Sept. 27, while the high school positions have an Oct. 18 deadline.
