The Siuslaw Vikings girls cross country team was the top Class 4A team Saturday at the Springfield Invitational.
The Lady Vikings, the state's No. 2-ranked team, were fourth overall with 86 points, with 5A schools Corvallis (32 points), Crescent Valley (76) and Crater (84) placing 1-2-3.
Corvallis is ranked No 3 in 5A, Crater No. 5 and Crescent Valley No. 6.
Two other Sky-Em League schools competed, with Marshfield finishing ninth with 225 and Junction City 11th with 306.
Senior Hannah Rannow ran the top time for the Lady Vikings, finishing fifth in 5,000-meter event in 19 minutes, 47 seconds.
Junior Brea Blankenship ran a season-record 20:42.1 for 12th overall and sophomore Rylee Colton a SR 20:45.6 for 13th.
Senior Ann Wartnik was 24th in a SR 21:14.9 and senior Chloe Madden 43rd in a SR 22:17.3.
Senior Bryn Clement ran a SR 24:21.7 to finish 66th and sophomore Julia Shoji 26:26.2 for 77th.
