Junction City finished the first half of Sky-Em League volleyball play at 5-0 Thursday with a 3-0 sweep of the Siuslaw Vikings.

The Lady Tigers won 25-19, 25-12, 25-13 to improve to 10-2 on the season, 5-1 in league.

Siuslaw, 7-6 overall and 2-3 in league, returns to Junction City on Saturday for the Junction City Invitational.

Elmira, Madras, Sweet Home and host Junction City also are entered.

The second round of Sky-Em League play begins Tuesday, with Siuslaw hosting Cottage Grove at 6:30 p.m. at Glenn Butler Court.

Junction City is at Marshfield and Marist Catholic at Elmira.

The Lady Vikings are in line for a play-in game once the Oregon School Activities Association state playoffs begin at the end of the month ... 12 teams — two each from the six leagues — will earn automatic berths. ...
