Wilson, Philomath eclipse Siuslaw's boys

The Siuslaw boys finished third Saturday to 4A Philomath and 6A Wilson at the annual Woahink Lake Cross Country Invitational at Honeyman State Park.

Philomath and Wilson each had 62 points, while the Vikings totaled 65.

Reynolds followed with 103, Roseburg 126, Bandon 170, Churchill 177, North Bend 188 and Marist 214.

Wilson junior Giuliano Scasso won in 16 minutes, 46.3 seconds.

Siuslaw senior Brendon Jensen was fifth in 17:08.6 and freshman Samuel Ulrich eighth in 17:26.5.

Siuslaw seniors Kiger Johnson and Jared Northrop were 14th and 15th in 17:49.4 and 17:59.5. Freshman Kyle Hughes was 23rd in 18:16.2 and sophomore Chad Hughes 24th in 18:16.5.

Vikings junior Jaxson Jensen was 41st in 19:02.8.
