The Central Coast Challenge wrestling tournament scheduled for Tuesday at Siuslaw has been postponed, athletic director Chris Johnson announced Monday.

The meet was to include North Bend, Reedsport and Siuslaw.

The Vikings are scheduled to compete Friday and Saturday at the Grants Pass Winter Kickoff.

In other news Monday, special districts for girls wrestling have been approved by the Oregon School Activities Association's executive board.

Siuslaw will compete in Class 4A Special District 2 with Cascade, Elmira/Crow, Junction City, Newport, Philomath/Alsea, Stayton and Sweet Home.

District 2 is one of four eight-school districts, each of which will qualify four wrestlers in each of 14 weight classes for the state championships Feb. 28-29 in Portland.
