Senior co-captain KJ Nyquist scored 17 points Wednesday to power the Stayton Eagles to a 43-18 victory over the visiting Siuslaw Vikings in nonleague girls basketball.

The Lady Vikings, 0-7, play Friday at South Umpqua. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Stayton, 5-1, led 13-6 after the first quarter and 28-10 at halftime. The Lady Vikings had only only 8 points in the second half, 4 in each quarter.

Senior Mia Collins led Siuslaw with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Gracie Freudenthal had 4 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Brea Blankenship had 2 points.
