Sophomore Brody Terry scored 15 points and junior Liam McClellan 14 Tuesday to lead the Siuslaw Vikings to a 62-54 victory over the Elmira Falcons in a Sky-Em League boys basketball game at Glenn Butler Court.

The Vikings improved to 2-2 in league and 8-10 overall. Elmira fell to 0-4 and 4-13.

Siuslaw closes the first half of league play Friday with a game at Junction City.

The Vikings and Falcons battled evenly throughout the game, only to see Siuslaw score the first nine points of the fourth quarter for an 11-point lead, 53-42.

Elmira never got closer than the final eight-point spread the rest of the way.

The Falcons scored the first nine points of the game, but trailed 17-13 at the end of the first quarter.

Elmira outscored Siuslaw 14-10 in the second quarter to forge a 27-27 halftime tie.

Siuslaw led by as many as eight points in the third quarter, 44-36, but the Falcons scored the final six points and trailed by just two, 44-42, entering the fourth quarter.

Sophomores Avery Hart and Braydon Thornton added 12 points each for Siuslaw.

Elsewhere, Marist Catholic (4-0, 14-3) took over first place alone with a 60-54 victory over visiting Marshfield (3-1, 12-5).

Junction City (2-2, 11-8) won at Cottage Grove (1-3, 5-13), 64-63.
