Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife news release
ROSEBURG — The Rogue-South Coast Multi-Species Conservation and Management Plan (RSP) stakeholder teams meet virtually next week to continue ODFW's plan development process for winter and summer steelhead, coho salmon, and cutthroat trout.
ODFW staff will revisit information previously presented to the stakeholder teams on management of Rogue and South Coast hatcheries, angling, and other species (e.g., predators).
Due to the Governor's Stay Home, Save Lives order, the meetings are held online and by teleconference and are open for public observation. Both meetings run 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and the agenda will be posted online on the RSP website. The meetings are open for public observation, however given they are virtual and shortened, public comments will not be taken during the meeting. Instead, public comments will be taken June 24 – July 3 by emailing ODFW.RSP.Comments@state.or.us
June 24: South Coast Stratum
June 25: Rogue Stratum
Stakeholder teams represent conservation and angling groups, watershed councils, fishing guides, recreational anglers, and government entities. Staff hopes to have a draft plan ready for public review later this summer.
