Return to high risk limits spectator options

Lane County returns to the covid high risk level Friday, and it is having an impact on spectator options at Siuslaw High School.

"We can no longer accept visiting fans for baseball, and junior varsity baseball will be limited to two tickets per player," athletic director Chris Johnson announced Thursday.

"Varsity tickets will still be obtained while supplies last on HomeTown Ticketing. Find the link, Siuslaw Tickets, under the Menu on the school website."

Tickets also must be obtained online for home track and field meets, including Friday's Central Coast Invitational, a seven-school event at Hans Petersen Field.

"Softball is still open seating along the outfield fence only," Johnson said. "People must bring their own chairs."

Baseball and softball each have three remaining home dates on their schedules, Tuesday and Friday of next week and Tuesday, May 11.

Track and field has at least three dates — Friday, April 23; Friday, April 30, and Friday-Saturday, May 14-15.

Siuslaw also is being considered as host of the Class 4A track and field championships, which would be held during Culminating Week, May 17-23.
