Siuslaw junior shortstop Bailey Overton has been named to the Sky-Em League's 2021 softball all-stars first team, Vikings coach Sean O'Mara announced Monday.

Senior catcher Adriana Edwards and junior centerfielder Hayden Muller were named to the second team.

Senior infielders Kya Blake (first base)  and Lizbeth Garcia-Galvan (second base) were honorable mention.

Overton put an exclamation mark to her season by going 4-for-4, all home runs, with 8 RBIs in the Lady Vikings' final game of the season.

NOTE

Sky-Em League champion Marist won the 4A Showcase championship Saturday, beating Henley 6-2 at U.S. Cellular Field in Medford.

Malia Williams had 18 strikeouts in the win for the Lady Spartans, who finished their season 18-1, their sole loss to Sheldon.
