Four Siuslaw Vikings track and field athletes earned Class 4A first-team all-state honors for their performances last weekend.

Not surprisingly, three were seniors Brea Blankenship, Gracie Freudenthal and Andrea Osbon, who powered the Lady Vikings to second place as a team at state.

Blankenship was first team in the 800 meters, Freudenthal in the 100 hurdles and Osbon in the shot put.

Sophomore Samuel Ulrich was first team in the boys 800.

Athletes finishing first or second at district or state are first team, third or fourth are second team, fifth or sixth are third team and seventh or eighth honorable mention.

Siuslaw's Chris Johnson was boys district coach of the year for guiding the Vikings to the Sky-Em League title.
