Junior guard Brody Terry hit six 3-point shots and scored 22 points Saturday to lead the Siuslaw Vikings boys basketball team to a 46-33 victory at Elmira.

Siuslaw improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Sky-Em League with the win. 

The Vikings will host league-leading Junction City (7-0, 3-0) on Tuesday, with a scheduled 5:45 p.m. start.

The Vikings, playing without leading scorer Braydon Thornton, were slow to heat up against the Falcons, who fell to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in league.

Elmira led 10-6 after the first quarter, 23-20 at halftime and trailed by only one, 33-32, entering the fourth quarter.

Siuslaw outscored Elmira 13-1 in the final quarter to win going away. 

The Vikings connected for 11 3-pointers in the game. Senior Liam McClellan had three and juniors Izacc Mattson and Harrison Hubner one each.

Siuslaw was just 1-for-8 from the free-throw line.

In other league games Saturday, Marshfield beat visiting Marist, 54-50, and Junction City beat visiting Cottage Grove, 53-42.

Siuslaw and Marshfield share second place in league at 2-1, while Marist and Cottage Grove share fourth at 1-2.
