The Siuslaw Vikings girls basketball team posted its first win of the season Saturday, defeating the Elmira Falcons, 32-28, at Elmira.

Senior guard Brea Blankenship led the Lady Vikings with 18 points, according to a report Monday morning by Coast Radio.

Siuslaw is 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the Sky-Em League. Elmira is 0-6 and 0-3, having been outscored 304-80 in six games this season.

The Lady Vikings host Junction City on Tuesday. The game follows the boys game and has a 7:15 p.m. scheduled tipoff.

Siuslaw is at Cottage Grove on Thursday to complete the first half of league play.

Saturday, the Lady Vikings host Marist at 1:30 p.m. at Glenn Butler Court.

In other league games Saturday, Marist won at Marshfield, 42-30, and Cottage Grove won at Junction City, 53-38.

Cottage Grove sits atop the Sky-Em League at 3-0, 4-2 overall. Junction City is 2-1 and 4-1, Marist 2-1 and 2-1 and Marshfield 1-2 and 1-4.
