The Marshfield Pirates boys are the only Sky-Em League team of four to advance to the 4A Basketball Showcase semifinals Thursday in North Bend.

Marshfield beat Gladstone, 61-47, Tuesday at Harrisburg to advance opposite Woodburn. Woodburn advanced with a 48-45 victory at Sky-Em League champion Junction City.

No. 1-seeded Banks plays No. 4 Cascade in the other boys semifinal.

The Sky-Em's Cottage Grove and Junction City both lost Elite Eight games, the league champion Lions to Valley Catholic, 51-42, and the runner-up Tigers at Hidden Valley, 56-31.
