SYSA seeks sponsors, coaches, volunteers

From Cameron Jagoe, president of Siuslaw Youth Soccer Association:

Hi everyone,

I hope your summer is going well.

Registration for the Fall 2021 recreational soccer season is open.

We are very excited about the upcoming season and look forward to being back out on the fields in full force. To sign up and see season dates, click HERE and check in on our Facebook page for updates.

Speaking of our Facebook page, SYSA needs and is looking for a volunteer to help manage our Facebook, and communications.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in being more involved in organizing and continuing to grow the soccer program, please reach out to us.

Responsibilities would include making Facebook posts, sending emails like this one, helping to plan & organize events like the BBQ, parade and future fundraisers. Communications is very important and I hope that someone reading this will will reach out to us and join us in building the best Soccer program we can.

Siuslaw High School soccer is holding a soccer camp fundraiser to raise money to get equipment and build their program.

The Junior Kickers Vikings Soccer Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 2-6, at the high school field, 27th and Oak.

The camp is for incoming second-eighth graders and costs $60 per player. The camp will be run by the high school soccer coaches, with the assistance of members of the high school team.

Instruction will focus on skill development and soccer fitness in a fun and social atmosphere.

Registration forms are available from Vikings varsity coach Londi Tomaro or at Pacific Frameworks on Hwy 101.

Visit the Siuslaw High School Soccer Facebook page for more information and to follow our high school team as it grows into the state champions they will undoubtedly become.

Speaking of champions, I would like to take a moment to thank all our past sponsors, coaches and volunteers. We would not have a program without your support and hard work. Thank you for everything you have done and will continue to do.

Speaking of sponsors, coaches and volunteers: As the Fall 2021 season approaches we are in need of all three.

If you own/manage a business or organization and would like to support SYSA and sponsor a team, please reach out to us. If you have coached and want to return or if you haven't coached but want to, click HERE to get started.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you,

Cameron Jagoe
SYSA president
