The Siuslaw Vikings football team has added a third home game to its current schedule, athletic director Chris Johnson announced Friday.

And it's defending 3A champion and Nio. 1-ranked Cascade Christian of Medford.

Cascade Christian is top-ranked by midmajormediaa.com. Siuslaw is ranked No. 2.

Cascade Christian was 5-0 this past spring, including a 13-10 victory over Santiam Christian in the 3A championship game at Cottage Grove.

Cascade Christian also beat Brookings-Harbor, 40-8; St. Mary's of Medford, 55-6; Douglas, 54-8 and South Umpqua, 37-0.

The addition of Cascade Christian gives the Vikings four road games and three home games.

For now, Siuslaw opens its season Sept. 17 at Sisters.

The Cascade Christian game is the home opener as well as the first of three home games in a row.
