Hannah Wartnik is the new wrestling coach at Siuslaw Middle School, which has begun registration for winter sports.

Wrestling and girls basketball start practice Monday, Oct. 25, with the season ending Dec. 17. Boys basketball will register in December and start play Jan. 3.

Wartnik, a social studies teacher at the middle school, is the daughter of Neil Wartnik, the longtime wrestling coach at Siuslaw High School.

Girls basketball will be coached by Ethan Dougherty and Jeromy Graybill.

Dougherty is a mathematics teacher at the middle school, while Graybill is a physical education teacher and athletic director.

"You can go to familyid.com, search for Siuslaw Middle School and fill out the online forms," Graybill said. 

"You will also need an updated sports physical turned into the office. They are good for two years."
