Siuslaw runners finished 1-2-3 and all five scorers finished in the top 10 Friday as the Vikings boys dominated the West Coast Classic cross country race at Alderbrook Golf Course in Tillamook.

Siuslaw scored 25 points to outdistance the field. Newport was second with 100, Astoria third with 107 and host Tillamook fourth with 114.

Vikings senior Chad Hughes ran a personal-record 16 minutes, 5.0 seconds to run away with the individual title.

Samuel Ulrich was second in 16:27.7, Kyle Hughes third in 16:50.6, Dylan Jensen ninth in a PR 17:32.2 and Jacob Blankenship 10th in a PR 17:34.8.

Brayden Linton was 21st in 18:21.0.

It was the third individual title in a row for Hughes, who also won at the Woahink Invitational and the Mariman Invitational.

Siuslaw's Run for the Brownies is Thursday at the Florence Golf Club, the Sky-Em League championships Oct. 28 in Eugene and the state championships Nov. 6 in Eugene.

Both the district and state championships are at Lane Community College.
