Tuesday was a tough night on the road for the Siuslaw Lady Vikings, but they still have a path to a Sky-Em League volleyball title.

Or at least a way to take a share of it, with one match to go, Thursday at Cottage Grove.

Junction City spotted visiting Siuslaw a 2-0 lead Tuesday, then the Tigers roared back for a 15-25, 16-25, 25-14, 25-23, 15-9 win.

The loss dropped the Lady Vikings to 0-5 this season in matches going five sets.

"We came out strong and fast and really played our game," Siuslaw coach Kari Blake said. "I can't even pinpoint what went wrong after the second set."

The loss dropped the Lady Vikings into a three-way tie for second place in the Sky-Em League at 6-3 with Junction City and Marshfield.

Marshfield swept Tuesday at Elmira 25-19, 25-15, 25-15.

Cottage Grove swept Marist, 25-15, 25-24, 25-18, at home Tuesday and now is alone in first place at 7-2.

Siuslaw can claim a share of the league title with a win in its regular-season finale Thursday at Cottage Grove.

A Lady Vikings win Thursday would forge a three-way tie for first place with Siuslaw, Cottage Grove and the winner of the Marshfield-Junction City match.

Elsewhere Thursday, Marshfield is at Junction City and Elmira is at Marist.

Siuslaw entered Tuesday's game ranked No. 8 by the OSAA in 3A. Junction City was No. 9 and Cottage Grove No. 6.
