4 Lady Vikings are Sky-Em League all-stars


Hayden Muller, Desiree Tupua, Mylee Blake and Zoe Alberty

Siuslaw senior libero Hayden Muller and junior middle blocker Desiree Tupua have been selected Sky-Em League volleyball first-team all-stars, it was announced Sunday.

Freshman outside hitter Mylee Blake was named to the second team and senior setter Zoe Alberty was honorable mention.

Muller and Alberty were co-captains for the Lady Vikings, who finished with a 15-9 record in Kari Blake's first season as head coach.

Siuslaw advanced to the OSAA Class 4A state quarterfinals with wins at Banks and North Marion in play-in and first-round matches.

The Lady Vikings were eliminated 3-1 at No. 1-seeded Sisters.

Cottage Grove senior Gracie Arnold was named player of the year and the Lions' Abby Ladd coach of the year.
