Ten members of the Siuslaw Vikings football team have earned all-star recognition for 3A Special District 2 North, it was announced Monday.

Seniors Camp Lacouture, Braydon Thornton and Rhys Fleming were first-team on offense and defense, while senior Henry Rankin and Isaac Garza were first-team on defense.

Seniors Beau Erickson, Avery Hart and Joe Slaughter were second team on offense, while junior Ian Sissel was second team on defense.

Lacouture was first team at running back, linebacker and placekicker.

Thornton was first team at wide receiver and kick returner, as well as second team as a defensive back.

Fleming was first team at tight end/flex and defensive lineman.

Rankin was first team on the offensive line and honorable mention as a defensive lineman.

Garza was a first team defensive back and a second team wide receiver.

Hart was second team on the offensive line and honorable mention on the defensive line.

Erickson was second team at quarterback, Slaughter second team at center and Sissel second team at linebacker.

Junior Julian Loftis was honorable mention on the offensive line.

La Pine seniors Teagan DeForest (offense) and Stephen Machin (defense) were linemen of the year and Bo DeForest was coach of the year.

Junction City senior Gabriel Ward was back of the year on both offense and defense.
