The North Bend Bulldogs picked up their first boys basketball win of the season Monday at the expense of the visiting Siuslaw Vikings, 47-35.

Siuslaw (2-1) next plays Wednesday at Pleasant Hill. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

The Vikings will compete Friday and Saturday at the Harrisburg Tournament, opening with Monroe at 4:30 p.m.

The Bulldogs (1-2) host rival Marshfield at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

North Bend led after each quarter, 14-9 after the first, 19-17 at halftime and 35-26 after three quarters.

Siuslaw never led in the second half, but did pull to a tie, 23-23, midway through the third quarter.

Brody Terry had 14 points and Avery Hart 11 to lead the Vikings. Chad Hughes and Aiden Jefferis added 4 each and Izaac Mattson had 2.

North Bend opened its season with a 53-23 loss at Roseburg and a 67-29 loss at Creswell. …
