The Monroe Dragons defeated the Siuslaw Vikings, 39-12, on Saturday for the consolation title in the Bulldog Invitational girls basketball tournament at Creswell.

Creswell played Sutherlin in the championship game later Saturday.

The Lady Vikings (0-9) next host Pleasant Hill at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Butler Court.

Siuslaw then will play two games in the Newport Tournament on Dec. 28-29 and two more in the Sky-Em/Skyline Crossover, which the Lady Vikings host Jan. 7-8.

The Lady Vikings open Sky-Em League play Jan. 14 at Marist.

Monroe (5-4), a member of the 2A Central Valley Conference, beat Siuslaw, 56-19, on Dec. 10 in the opener of the Harrisburg Booster Club Tournament.
