The Siuslaw Vikings wrestlers shared fourth place among the girls and placed 10th among the boys Saturday in the Grants Pass Winter Kickoff.

Macali Cade (110 pounds), Bailey Overton (120) and Hayden Muller (140) had second-place finishes for the Lady Vikings, while Mason Buss (170) and Dayne Muller (195) had second-place finishes for the boys.

The six-athlete Lady Vikings team tied with Fortuna, Calif., with 62 points.

North Medford was first among the 24 girls teams with 102, followed by Del Norte of Crescent City, Calif., with 80 and Crater with 65.

The five-athlete Siuslaw boys totaled 82 points. First-place Grants Pass, with a tournament-high 19 athletes, scored 180.

Siuslaw's Cort Waggoner pinned all four of his opponents to win the 220-pound division as the Vikings finished eighth among 31 schools in the boys junior varsity tournament. Joel Sissel was third at 170 and Chance O'Brien fourth at 195.

Siuslaw next will compete Wednesday at a four-way meet at Marshfield.
